Harry August Miller IV

President and Chief Development Officer
Gamecock Media Group

Harry Miller’s strengths lie in creating and leading teams to build new companies. With a focus on business development and deal negotiations, Miller has successfully built several companies from the ground up.

Miller’s most recent project was Play HK Ltd, a toy company based in Hong Kong.  Since its inception in 2003, the company has secured sales teams in the US and Europe, strong management for the company, strategic relationships with rights to 3rd party products, and the company’s first purchase orders.

In August 2001, Miller was hired to start a new Asian-based MMOG game publishing company in Hong Kong, En-Tranz Entertainment.  Miller hired a strong and talented team to create the first Pan-Asian massively multiplayer online game network.  The company built its own publishing, distribution, support, billing and network infrastructures created to handle all of the major Asian markets (10), including the support of 5 languages.

Before En-Tranz Entertainment, Miller was the president and co-founder of Gathering of Developers, an artist-driven computer and video game publisher.  Miller was instrumental in setting up the company's financial and corporate structure, as well as orchestrating a multi-title distribution and equity deal, and the eventual sale of Gathering of Developers to Take-Two Interactive for US $30 million. Miller also built and managed the international distribution network for Gathering of Developers’ titles in Latin America and Asia. In addition, Miller directed all contractual matters with the company's law firm, Thompson & Knight, as well as investment relationships.  Within 3 years of inception, Gathering had revenues in excess of $100 million.

Prior to Gathering of Developers, Miller was the chief executive officer and a pioneering member of game developer Ritual Entertainment. Miller oversaw corporate business development, direct distribution of the company's 3D shooter SiN into Asia, and legal and accounting representation.  Miller orchestrated a number of licensing deals for the SiN property, including a SiN anime movie and a Japanese Manga comic book line. In addition, Miller secured the rights for Ritual to develop a game based on Kevin Eastman's Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2 animated movie.

Miller's foray into the gaming industry was in early 1995. He was the director of international licensing for Interactive Visual Systems/DWANGO (dial-up wide area network gaming operation), a high-speed online gaming network.

Miller earned his Master’s Degree in Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in May 1993.
