Property Project Manager (Summer Intern)

Location of Employment

Ulaanbaatar for the most part, possibility to go to various trade fares and exhibitions around the world as well as business trips to APIP’s various offices in Hong Kong, New York and Oxford.

May-June

Duration of Contract

For a minimum of three months, can be extended up to five months, further extension is subject to negotiations with management but possible.

Applicant Requirements

The applicant is not required to have previous experience in the real estate industry but must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt in often difficult and strange situations. The applicant would ideally speak a number of foreign languages and has traveled extensively throughout the world and preferably in Asia. The applicant must also demonstrate clear leadership qualities as well as an ability to think on the move. The applicant must have a strong grasp of the Microsoft Office Suite as well an understanding of the basic concepts of real estate dealings and construction.

Mongolian Properties is the leading real estate agency in Mongolia dealing with sales and lettings primarily to the expat market of Ulaanbaatar. Mongolian Properties is also one of the leading property developers in the capital with two large projects completed and another two currently in construction. Mongolian Properties is also one of the largest property management firms in Ulaanbaatar managing over 150 apartments.

Description of Employment

Mongolian Properties is the largest of the companies owned and operated by Asia Pacific Investment Partners. The applicant will have the opportunity over the three minimum months of employment to work within all the various departments of the firm. The employee will be involved in marketing, development, sales and rentals of apartments as well as helping out with the property management side of things. The applicant needs will be involved in managing certain projects, carrying out administrative tasks, introducing procedures and objectives to the company as well as  writing introduction documents for relocation staff.

Working in Mongolia can be enormous fun and extremely rewarding if you are willing to immerse yourself in the local culture, adapt to ever changing situations and environments. Working in property in Mongolia is a unique work experience as it gives the applicant an excellent understanding of the various market forces and dynamics at work not only in Mongolia but in Central Asia in general. The applicant will be given full training in Mongolia and will work with an experienced real estate agent at all times.

Conditions of Employment

600USD a month per month of employment, days outside of the month will be paid on a pro-rata basis. Travel (both international and domestic), food and board will all be paid for by the company. Bonuses will be available dependent on performance while commissions are available on all property directly sold or rented by the employee.
