APIP Director of Research Location of Employment Full Time in Mongolia Commencement of Employment Available immediately Duration of Contract For a minimum of nine months, can be extended up to one full year, further extension is subject to negotiations with management but possible. Applicant Requirements APIP needs a Researcher and Analyst to study and publish regular research documents on the Mongolian Property market as well as its political and economical environment as well as write market predictions and assist in planning future strategies. Research is also required on the various investment potential of Central Asian Nations to facilitate potential investment there.

Asia Pacific Investment Partners, founded in 2001, is an investment company that is primarily focused on the emerging markets. Unlike many private equity firms, APIP often assumes majority operating stakes in its portfolio companies and in a number of cases enters into a new sector through the creation and incubation of a new corporation. Our investment of capital is small yet our investment in time and human capital is substantial. We are not an investment fund management company as we generally do not manage third party investment funds although we often act as advisors to individuals and corporations during their investment allocation decision process. Our investment professionals and operations specialists come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from venture capitalists to strategy consultants to specialists in corporate finance and real estate. The firm’s team of investment professionals is supported by an experienced group of research professionals, IT personnel, accountants and marketing professionals. As a private firm we primarily work with small investors, high net worth individuals and a select group of corporate investors. Our investment and operations team source ideas and investment opportunities and work closely together to design ways of growing and improving the business through the use of appropriate capital funding, marketing, human resources and strategy. We emphasize a strong focus on operational execution ever mindful of the competitive marketplaces of the global economy and the windows of opportunity that present themselves. A small but geographically diverse firm, we are at home in the emerging markets. We maintain offices in Hong Kong, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and Oxford, England. Description of Employment The candidate will need to have good analytical skills and excellent written English. The candidate will need to write comprehensive market research documents about Mongolia with particular emphasis on property law, political situation, economical stability, research past cases and documents as well as keep abreast of proposed changes to the law and how it affects Mongolian Properties and its clients. The candidate will also be required to do regular market updates, work on website content and assist in the preparation of marketing and sales documents. Conditions of Employment Housing: Will be provided in Mongolia in a shared apartment with other employees. Transport: Position will provide vehicle for transportation and private driver whilst in Mongolia and when required. 1 flight a year will be paid for to return to Europe. Food and Entertainment: The applicant will be given food discounts at selected restaurants of the APIP group while in Mongolia. Entertainment expenses can be provided at selected locations while in Mongolia. Bonus Scheme: Position entitles candidate to be eligible for the company bonus scheme after six months of employment. Health Insurance: Candidate eligible for subsidized health care after 6 months of employment. Salary: To be discussed with management. Trial Period: Three months during which only salary included.
